You get a pile of stuff- look at it for awhile, and either dive in at some point, or just keep looking at it. There really isn't many different approaches, especially if you have some with multiple competing priorities that are the same weight.
In my case I tend to pick them up, and set them aside, in a sort of cycle. And in specific, in this instance, I last worked in this area several years ago.
